Al Bandar hotel, at the heart of Shangri-La's Barr Al Jissah Resort, is for those seeking five-star deluxe luxury and comfort.
The name Al Bandar means "The Town" and the architecture of the hotel is inspired by old Muscat, featuring buildings of varying heights and a variety of ornate balconies.

Deluxe
Deluxe Rooms offer expansive space with a modern, Arabian-inspired décor that expresses the spirit of Oman in a contemporary setting. Each room has a balcony furnished with a table and two chairs with views over the lush gardens and pools towards the Gulf of Oman There is a comfortable writing desk with broadband Internet access via a high-speed dataport and the bathroom features a separate bath and shower cubicle.
Deluxe Terrace
Deluxe Terrace Rooms are similar to the above but instead feature an expansive terrace (15 sqm/ 161 sqft) with outdoor furtniture and direct access to the gardens and pool areas.
Deluxe Sea Facing
Same as the Deluxe Room but with a clearer view of the beach and the sea.
Premier
Premier Rooms are some of the largest non-suite rooms in Oman and feature a luxurious décor opening out on to either a balcony or patio with memorable views of the lush gardens and the Gulf of Oman.

Restaurants and Bars
Al Tanoor
A genuine Middle Eastern atmosphere and a-la-minute dining, featuring cuisine characteristic of the Gulf as well as Turkish, Lebanese, Greek, Persian and Indian delicacies. The open food stations offer the most delectable dishes from the region and showcasing an authentic Omani experience the restaurant's interior features Arabic tents, pottery, vibrant colours and local spices creating a unique "souk" atmosphere. Al fresco dining is also available.
Capri Court
Relaxed yet refined, Capri Court showcases modern Italian cuisine with special recommendations from the Chef. The ambience takes you to the shores of Southern Italy and every aspect of the dining experience holds excitement course by course until the blended coffee and signature desserts, prepared table-side, complete a perfect evening. Overlooking the resort's 450m beach, Al fresco dining is ever more relaxing.
Bait Al Bahr
Stroll to Bait Al Bahr just before sunset and sit overlooking the beach to watch the sun go down over the Gulf of Oman. Then enjoy sumptuous traditional Omani seafood accompanied by fine wines to round off a perfect day. Open daily for lunch and dinner.
Tapas & Sablah
Enjoy Mediterranean and Asian tapas, complemented by a full beverage selection and live outdoor entertainment under the Omani night sky.
Circles
Following your morning workout or spa treatment, treat yourself to a refreshing tropical cocktail or an invigorating health tonic. Try a pizza from the wood-fired oven, sample a salad, snack or plate of pasta. Just right for a lazy day by the pool. Open daily from 10:00am to 7:00pm
Mokha Café
Adjacent to the Sablah, this "coffee house" offers an excellent selection of freshly brewed coffees and loose-leaf teas as well as an impressive array of pastries and delicious desserts.
The Long Bar & Xyro
The Resort's ultimate entertainment venue. Enjoy exciting signature cocktails in the Long Bar, or dance the night away to live music in Xyro.
The Piano Lounge
A stylish cosmopolitan bar and lounge with a long terrace overlooking the Gulf of Oman. The Piano Lounge offers a stunning view over the sea and resort, an inventive selection of cocktails and wines, complimentary canapés and live piano enterentainment. Choose the ambience and music inside or the gentle sea breezes and night skies outside.
Guests may also dine in the restaurants and enjoy the bars at the Al Waha hotel.
